| S U M M A R Y Steve Jaffe is a seasoned transit professional with a breadth and depth of experience in public transit which includes Transit Operations Management, ADA Compliance, Budgeting, Performance Measurement & Reporting, Business Planning, Labor Relations, and Human Resources Management. In June 1998, he founded Transit Access. Prior to the establishment of Transit Access, he worked at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, where he held a series of progressively responsible management positions. Most recently, Steve served as senior advisor to the Executive Officer - Transit Operations. In this capacity he helped shape MTA's 6,200 employee, $700 million, Transit Operations Division through development of the Metro Operations Business Plan. He also led the agency to restore public confidence in the quality and reliability of its accessible transit services. Hands on Transit Operations experience includes serving as one of four managers responsible for Metro’s West Hollywood bus operating facility, which led a 530 employee, $42.0 million, 210 bus operation, in providing transit service to 40.0 million annual passengers. In addition, Steve progressed through positions in which he developed expertise in budgeting, performance measurement and reporting, training & development, strategic communications, human resources management and labor relations Steve was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, where he lives with his wife and children.
